Black Days

Words by Tamaras (from “Ordinary Supergirl”)
Photograph by H.R. LoBue

Just a small dot on the screen
A half a world away
They’ll fall like bombs down to their knees
And fuel our Chevrolets

Black Days
Now I’m Trapped in
The blindness of black Days

Televise a holy war
Like it’s a video game
Desensitized till you care no more
So lets get stoned and fade

Open you eyes won’t you
See through the lies
That are televised
Just to hypnotize
So you don’t realize
That you’re dehumanized
Demonize difference
Open minds before we compromise more
Vocalize so we can mobilize

Reckless men seduction
Spinning around and turning on the juice
All along the compromise left me feeling angry and used
While the world’s been watching us
And can’t believe the things that we’re doing
Careful of who’s dropping bombs
Who’s dropping bombs could drop them down on you

Black Days
Now I’m Trapped in
The blindness of black Days
